Homeowners can inspect equipment and recognize hazards, but damaged wiring, permanent installations, and electrical repairs should be assessed by a Licensed Electrical Contractor.
Outdoor electrical hazards often develop when moisture, damaged equipment, temporary wiring, heat, and severe weather overlap. Before opening a pool or hosting a gathering, inspect accessible receptacles, cords, lights, pumps, and appliances.
Everything used outside should be suitable for its location and intended purpose. Stop using equipment that produces heat, sparks, burning odours, repeated trips, loose connections, or signs of water intrusion.
